MERS transmission via camel to human is featured in The New England Journal of Medicine Brief Report. The report “suggest multiple zoonotic transmission…perhaps through an intermediate animal host.” Read the full article at Evidence for Camel-to-Human Transmission of MERS Coronavirus.

Mycobacterium abscessus, a rare infection, was linked to surgical equipment at Greenville Memorial Hospital which may have played a role in the deaths of three patients last week. Currently, no additional cases have been found. Read more here.
